Frequently asked Questions...

Who are the workshops for ?

The workshops are designed to cater to all levels... Whilst some will be catered more towards experienced dancers and others towards less experienced ones, all workshops will be definitely be enlightening and entertaining to all, irrespective of whether you are experienced and looking to polish up the basics, or a new dancer looking to acquire skills.

I only dance Lindy Hop / I only dance Blues. Can I still attend ?

Yes of course you can! HASO 2019 aims to bring both worlds together. :D

The dancers will be offered a selection of Lindy Hop and Blues classes which they can select from (for a total of 8 hours).

A dancer may choose to take:

  • all Lindy Hop classes

  • all Blues classes

  • a combination of Lindy Hop and Blues classes (ideal for dancers who want to cross-over/try the other dance out).

The social dances will have a balanced mix of Blues and Lindy Hop/Swing music...

I only want to attend the parties ! / I only can come on a single day !

We will be offering day passes and party passes as soon as the early bird passes are sold out. At first, we will only be offering a limited number of party-only passes as we have to give priority for full pass holders.

For those party-pass holders from out of Hanoi....we will have some fun activities for you to try out on your own or in a group to keep you entertained while exploring our vibrant city.

Where can I stay ?

The workshops will be held in Ba Dinh dsitrict, and the parties will be held in multiple locations. Unfortunately, accommodation choices close to the venues (within 10 min drive or walking distance) are quite limited.  We highly recommend dancers to explore accommodation possibilities in or around Old Quarter. As this area is quite central, all parts of Hanoi can be reached within 20 - 30 minutes by taxi or motorbike from there. Also, the Old Quarter is full of fun things to do and explore!

** We cannot guarantee hosting, or if there will be any available. If we do find hosts we will let our registrants know as soon as we it is available.

** Please note that on weekends, the streets around Hoan Kiem lake are walking-only. If you book accommodation in this area, make sure it is outside of a 2 block area around the lake in all directions.

** If you are travelling in a group, please let us know as we can introduce you to look into apartments/villas that are available for short-term rent.
